My 10 tips to extend the life of your jewellery! Gold is the only precious metal that does not tarnish. Be aware that gold is a relatively soft metal and it can be scratched easily. Therefore, you should always take great care of your gold jewellery. Even though they are designed to be worn every day, in order to help them retain their original shine and elegance, it is important to follow a few tips for care and basic precautions.

My creations are delicate and have to be treated with the greatest care. Simple precautions will allow you to keep the shine of your jewellery.

TIP 1: : STORE YOUR JEWEL IN ITS CASE

_____

When you are not wearing your jewellery, I recommend that you store it in its case received during purchase in order to avoid friction with other jewellery and oxidation due to humidity and light.

TIP 2: TIP 2: KEEP SEPARATE YOUR JEWELLERY

_____

Thin chains often get tangled. Even when they are separated from other chains, I recommend closing bracelets and necklaces and storing them separately.

TIP 3: REMOVE YOUR JEWELLERY DURING SLEEP OR PHYSICAL EXERCISE

_____

I advise you to prevent shocks when you wear your jewellery. Although I would like you to wear it like a second skin, before sleeping and when you are physically active, I suggest that you take it off.

TIP 4: TAKE OFF YOUR JEWELLERY WHEN YOU TAKE A SHOWER OR A BATH

_____

During your shower, remove your jewellery. Indeed, the gold plated metal can deteriorate with the shower gel, the shampoo, the soap or the lacquer and the fragrance.

TIP 5: REMOVE YOUR JEWELLERY WHILE DOING YOUR HOUSEHOLD CHORES

_____

For household tasks, take off your jewellery. Indeed, corrosive products (detergent, hydroalcoholic gel, etc.) can deteriorate the gold plated metal.

TIP 6: BE CAREFUL, JEWELLERY CAN GET CAUGHT AND TEAR YOUR CLOTHES

_____

By default, all jewellery can often get caught on clothes and other surfaces. Therefore, we suggest that you remove it before you undress or put your jewellery on last when getting dressed. It will prevent snags and potential damage in regard to the pieces you think it might happen.

TIP 7 : THE SIZE OF YOUR RING

_____

Make sure your ring is the right size. A slightly too large ring can catch on more easily and as a result, can become deformed and scratched. Therefore, your ring must be exactly your size!

TIP 8 : CLEAN YOUR JEWELLERY

_____

Jewellery does need some maintenance, but the good news is you can do it yourself quickly and easily. I advise that you clean your jewelry frequently and delicately. To restore shine to the metal and the stones, you only need to use lukewarm water with a mild soap (or baking soda) and a soft toothbrush. You may also use a special gold chamois or a fabric made of microfiber.

TIP 9
: WHEN YOU GO TO THE SWIMMING POOL, TAKE OFF YOUR JEWELLERY.

_____

The chlorine present in swimming pools could damage and deteriorate your jewelry.

TIP 10: CALL A JEWELLER TO CHECK YOUR JEWELLERY ONCE A YEAR

_____

I advise you to call a jeweller once a year or once every two years to check your jewellery. Indeed, to remove small scratches, he / she can clean it and can check that the setting is still tight and repolish the piece.
